I notice that his price has risen by $100--used to be $450. Can't say I'm upset by the increase, as restoring a stock lug this way requires a ton of work. The approach to restoring my Artie's lug would section out the damaged area and replace with appropriate chunk from the donor frame segment I got from G.T. a couple of years ago. Refinishing the surfaces of the work zone would remain the same, but integrating the replacement structure in this way would be lots easier. For those who need a restoration of the lug, the latter approach would likely be much more affordable (Tom Heller said he has frame segments from $25-up) than this man's procedures.
