I too felt that the follower button would be uncomfortable if not downright cumbersome and inhibit proper functioning of the "magazine". I suspect that it is removable and only in place for loading. All of the other examples of a Wyatt that I have seen (photos) only had a hole in the follower to insert a rod for loading. To the best of my knowledge, the follower slot cutout was only in the right grip, not both sides.
