Not sure who invented this plate. AK fans' comments on it was impressive, "it's a
leap forward improvement for AK rifle". I guess it's invented by an American gunsmith trying to solve this issue from the root. But not sure. I heard a high-end Russian made commercial semi-auto AK (V.... something, I forgot the model name) now has this type of plate in place. It's a simple invention solving big problem.
