Be sure to tell them the exact gun you seek a holster for. On the first go around, they made mine for a shorter barrel than the 1900 Test Model. They quickly took care of the issue.

You understand it correctly. The El Paso holsters were patterned after an authentic Test holster that well known old time collector John Morgan sent to to them have re-sewn.
