I sold a few things on eBay some years ago, Once, in the beginning, when I couldn't figure out how to cancel a listing, I increased the price of a Hallmark doo-dad to a million dollars, to keep people from buying something I did not have any more. I got a little help from an eBay-er in closing it out, but in the meantime had a bunch of messages asking what was up with the high price...
