Patrick, You could be right about the sideplate..I took a closer look and the font seems to match. Not double stamped like it looked at first. just a weird angle on the 0. Yes..The grips on this pistol would and should be matching. For collectors who are looking for an all matching collector piece, willing to shell out the big bucks it makes a difference. In your case not so much. It was your Grandfathers, you have a history with it and it is something you treasure.
