I'll take a guess, 5th Bavarian Reserve Signal Corps Weapon #226. Some on this board know these unit marks like the back of their hand, they will chime in later and correct this if needed.
Some pics would be nice, there weren't that many 1911's mfg. Somewhere between 10-11k IIRC.
