In the U.S., people emphasize on "original", "matching", "high condition',,,,, the desire is LUXURY. That's not the case for many places. In places like Russia, China, etc, if emphasizing on those, people collect NOTHING. But, there is some interest on C&R (much smaller than the U.S.), some people are willing to pay money, and play those LEGALLY. Then, there is a market. And, if viewing from another angle, items digged out of earth of Stalingrad, Kursk, Odessa, Shanghai, etc, etc do have some special meaning. Of course, none of those will be "restored". What's the purpose of doing that.

Items like pistol wood stock, holsters are hot. Those are international items.
