For the most part, yes. Some did stay State-side at places like West Point and Presidio, etc., so would not have been subject to field conditions. However, seeing two in such good condition together either indicates that the former owner was wealthy and motivated enough to seek out the very best, or there has been a bit of enhancement on the pieces. The 1906 date on the holster does not add anything to the credibility of the set. Sure looks nice though
