Initially, I didn't check the situation in the closest shot, full res. because there didn't seem to be anything there to look at! Having just done so, I agree with you and Doug--a little darkened by grunge in its slightly recessed position, but definitely not blued. Thanks for answering/pointing this out. Although I was presumptuous/lazy for not first checking the full sized pic, it reinforces the rule of thumb that the BEST way to check out a pistol is in-hand!
