I agree with both Douglas and your assessment of the medal bars. Regulations say the two longer service awards should have the eagle. However, the police could wear different long service medals and ribbons on their bars. So, a policeman could only wear one long service award for the police but could also show long service in the SS or Wehrmacht and the basic ribbon is the same blue color. If the policeman did not want to buy a new bar he could conceivably simply hang his new silver medal on his bar or sew, or stick, the appropriate color eagle onto the ribbon. Regulations were not always followed but if I were buying the medal or the bar I would want it to follow police regulations.

I see the postwar Berlin Tschakos for sale on ebay from time to time but mostly overpriced. I saw two postwar Tschakos sell at SOS for around $150. each. The pre-1936 Prussian Police Tschakos are much harder to find in unmolested condition.

Here is a pre-1936 Prussian Police doll with a miniature Erel Tschako that would look good in the case with your Berlin Police Luger. These very realistic dolls were sold in Berlin department stores at Christmas time and are mentioned in a book on the history of the Berlin Police. Also, a full size Prussian Police Officer Oberleutnant uniform.
