Newly assembled .45 Shansei regularly goes around $1500 these days (usually in 70%-90% shape, common, see them every month if not every week). Original ones goes $4000-$5000 (usually in 10%-30% shape, rare). If it has importer stamp, or it's "Nationalist Year 18" made without documented provenance, I would say it should go around $1500. Some instances of 1980's Shansei were sold much higher on gunbroker.com though.

Unlike newly assembled 9mm "Selbstlader" with newly made frame, removable magazine and some genuine Schnellfeuer parts, Shansei, regardless year of making, is counted as C&R.

[Edit] Since old and new Shansei were well mixed on the market, if you have an original one for sale, better send it to an auction house for good price. It's hard to sell it yourself.
