My first suggestion would be to purchase a new MecGar mag for your Luger. All auto loaders are dependent on their mags for reliability. Lugers can, and are many times, ammo sensitive, just like .22cal guns are. You may want to try different brands and bullet weights.

If these things don't get you up and running, then one would need to exchange the springs(recoil, firing pin,mag) so that you know exactly where you stand.

Lugers can be frustrating, to say the least, but once you get it running reliably, you will most definitely enjoy shooting it.
