Mine is also an "x" block, 1939 "42" code but with a three-digit serial number (500x). The serial number on the front of the frame is slightly crooked on mine as well. Additionally, the two digits on the center toggle link are slightly misaligned. All of the rest of the numbers look spot on.
Maybe we both have pistols produced on a Monday.....
