I doubt the safety lever is a "reblue" because it was probably a new replacement when the gripsafety was eliminated. Hopefully it is numbered to the frame. Sideplates were mixed up during normal cleaning of several weapons cleaned at the same time. The sailors didn't really care as long as the pistol was put back together and was functional. It is what it is: a very decent old piece that served its country quite well for many years. Jim Cate
