I heard that Broomhandle was relatively rare in the U.S. before 1980. In 1980s, China bulk exported numerous Broomhandles to the U.S for exchange of U.S. currency. All of them has U.S. importers' stamps. Since then, Broomhandles, especially small ring hammer variations, have become a common gun in the U.S.

The most interesting one was "45 ACP Shansei". Not many were made in 1920s, and it's supposed to be rare. But nowadays, we see at least one instance a week for sale on the market. In similar condition, asking price varies from $800 to $3500.
