Ed, Trades are a funny thing..mostly they are hard to put together as both parties must come up with something the other wants! Secondly they are rarely exactly even up. Often one party makes out a little better than the other. That's why I like trading with good friends...if you end up a little short you can try to make up for it on the next trade..then you don't feel bad if the other guy came out a bit ahead..he's a good friend and you don't mind!
I learned a hard lesson many years ago in my first gun trade. I was 12 I think. I got royally ripped but it was a good lesson then and now. I still remember that lesson and it's prevented me trading without thinking it over carefully first!
You still end up making mistakes no matter what..
