I thought perhaps the muffler was a joke...Or part of the Honda ATV...But it's actually part of the clearing barrel???

How effective is it??? Is the entrance aperture curtained, maybe by a thick rubber sheet with a slot in it???

Some years ago, when I was working as an automotive mechanic, I was impressed by how quiet a Cadillac I was working on was...Over the years, when working on rifles or handguns that needed testing (but not accuracy), I thought of that Cadillac...and its muffler...

I have enough land that shooting into a berm wouldn't be any hazard to neighbors...But the noise might be offensive...I've thought of fastening a Cadillac muffler to a bench and firing through it into a berm...Using some kind of rubber sleeve to protect the muzzle......

I've used handgun clearing barrels (usually 55 gal drums full of sand) and even a ceiling mounted clearing barrel for M16's...But a 'silenced' clearing barrel is a new one...

Thanks for posting! Please expound further on the silencing qualities!
