Well Bill it was such a source of trouble I figured some one else should get the opportunity to trouble shoot the thing.
When the frustration factor overwhelms the pleasure then it is time for a change.
Also comparing the Mitchell to my originals it was painfully less quality and that was produced with modern equipment verses no computer equipment of a 100 years ago.

However I must give the Mitchell guys an E for effort trying to master such a complicated design as the Luger.
