This method of patching is from the black powder era.

It represents an example of 5,000 years of tradition unhampered by progress.

How DWM and/or the German Army could have matched-up a spaceaged design Luger with this antique patching method is beyond my ability to understand, as a simple loop will do just wonders.

How long did they keep this design, until 1945?
