Default Re: Sneak Luger & 1900

Great descriptive information! Makes identification easier than usual. The first luger you describe sounds like what J Still calls a 29 DWM which might date it to 1931-32 in the transition period when Mauser was getting into the luger manufacturing business. The grip strap suggests it was for the Landespolizei (rural police) around Magdeburg (Mg) and was inventory gun number 266. Magdeburg guns are often mistaken for machine gun company pistols. It is a police pistol. Most are well-worn, high grade examples being very hard to locate. With a L.Mg.266 marked holster and tool, $850 is not bad but because 20's guns are not very popular (the 29 DWM that is popular is the one with a blank toggle) you should try for a price in the $600's. That would be achievable here in Colorado.

I will let someone else comment on the 1900.
