I think it is too much. .30's are my favorite so I am stuck there but in a real gun shop (Meaning one on the street) where they have to have thing priced to sell, this should be a 700 to 800 dollar Luger I don't care how clean it is. The grips look unusual to me. But over a grand? There are nothing special about commercials to be that much, the US Commercial market accounts for half of the Lugers produced in that time frame. SO it certainly is not rare. The good thing, I find the .30;s to always run like a clock where with a 9mm and the different springs, the 9's can be finicky with US commercial ammo.
