Re: Magazine Fit Question
Hi Dwight! I don't have any hard and fast rules, but....It seems that 1900's have very tight tolerances, and most likely 1900 mag's were made to fit, exactly!... As far as I know, this is only a 1900 quirk... (BTW,it is a good way to tell if the mag. is original to the gun!)...I think, the vertical tolerance is built into the mags to facilitate loading a full mag., including dirt and grim, under less then idea conditions!! I have repaired mags to fit perfectly, only to encounter a multitude of malfunctions!! The tolerances built in, are there for a reason...whatever that may be? Also, luger mags have a tendency to deform in the mag catch area, making sloppy, sloppier! Perhaps some of the other members have a different slant on this problem! till...later...G.T.
