Norm..Sturgess is perhaps the only Luger books I don't yet have..When you say just like Fabrizio's..do you mean front and back? Is there a photo of the back in Sturgess?

I can imagine very early Police configurations being made in the WW1 style but I can't say as I have ever seen one. This New Police style is HIGHLY unlikely to have been made that way..It was a new design and incorporated several important improvements besides the front Police upward strap and stud closure.
