I agree. No disrespect to those who watch sports, but some sports fans, music fans, TV-show fans etc. really go overboard and almost make it a lifestyle. I love to watch "American Pickers", but I sure don't understand what possesses people to wear a hat or a T-shirt with their name on it. Ok, you like the show, so what? Or even worse: All those "wannabe gangstas" who dress like pimps and play rap music in their cars with the windows wide open. Sorry, you're not getting rich, famous and respected for doing that, all you will accompish is to add to your idol's good fortune.
I have never been attracted to any of this, I would rather do my own thing and hopefully get respected for what I do. I can respect and admire what other people do, but not to the point where I would start wearing their name on my clothes and decorating my house with their posters. I wouldn't even wear a Luger T-shirt, it's just not my cup of tea.
