Look at the 'stickies' at the top of the forum.
WW1 lugers, to include army, navy and commercial were used by army, navy, police and luftwaffe, while new bought lugers in the 1920's (to include DWM and Simson) made new lugers, then before and during WW2 Mauser and krieghoff made lugers.
Read the stickies on good luger books, because there are a lot of books not worth a darn.
