Lugers are fine pistols no doubt, thats what this forum is about. Everyone here owns one or two or maybe in some cases a dozen or more. I own a few myself, over my lifetime not sure how many i have owned and sold and traded off, untill recently i just got into lugers and i do enjoy them and this forum and it's members. But ole slabsides just had it's 100th birthday and is far from being retired, any one on here knows i own 1911's and a1' s and all kinds of the variants. And i shoot them, the 1917 and 1918's too. One pistol the luger retired long ago the other is still in the hands of fighting men and women where ever they may be, i am not the only one that feels this way i am sure, i just maybe the only one that speaks it, my regards to all of you, Padre Dan
