Re: Vet Bring Back Stories
Good advice Thor. We all need to be carefull, and I remind myself constantly that if 'it's too good to be true, it usually is" This is a true story:
I had a guy come up to me at a Gunshow with a Walther P38(sorry for swearing, but they are my second love!). He said he was in the "BATTLE OF THE BULDGE" and took the rig(gun, holster,2 matching clips), and "took it off" a ten year old soldier, he took prisoner. I bought the gun (15 years ago, when they were much cheeper). Upon checking his Drivers licence, his date of birth was 1936, which would have made him 9 or ten at the Battle Of The Buldge! I realize that recruitment efforts were hightened during the war, but didn't have any idea we enlisted soldiers that young! With the ready availability of fake capture papers, saddly it's going to only get worse!
Until Next Time,
Tim
