Yes this social networking is getting out of control IMO especially with the younger folks.
I have managed to not get invovled in facebook or tweeting.
I really don't care about the minute to minute activites of peeps, famous or not.
I have enough on my hands keeping track of my own comings and goings.
I don't think anyone will be offended now that you have explained your intentions.
