Eugene..Thanks very much for your inquiry about Carbine cases. I have sent you a few photo’s. I can see a few problems with these right off..One is they are quite expensive. I have only made a half dozen over the years..I make them by hand. I have no machine to make them with. My price to a collector who is wanting one for a $15,000-20,000 carbine has been $600. Reasonable in this case…


For a wholesaler $600 would be less than ideal of course but a faster way to stitch them would have to be employed. Currently my repair business makes it difficult to produce any new leather goods unless I am not busy and that is almost never the case. I am a one man shop. I make commitments to my clients to repair… and that is my first priority.


The other little problem that pops up is the extra long barrel on Carbines you produce. I have always made cases for the standard 12 inch barrel and a 16 inch barrel might make the case totally out of proportion to the stock. I have never made a case with the 16 inch barrel so I don’t know how it would look…
