That's a point I hadn't thought about, the refinishing to sell it later on if needed. I personally would be unlikely to pay $900 for a shooter in any condition much less for a nickel/chromed one and that's why I was surprised to see them so high on auction sites (I guess a Luger is a Luger to some, which is fair enough). To me, that price point would be approaching the low-grade all-matching category. This thread has given me a lot to think about as I hope to treat myself to another Luger for my birthday (31 in April) and I wouldn't mind something a bit quirky.
