Hi,

Is there a small dent in the aluminum base magazine, near the front edge in the first photo? That could be causing interference in the frame channel. Gerald Tomak "G.T." has the fixtures and the skill to fix that if you need to.

Look carefully all over the aluminum base magazine for a very small "42" or "S/42". It's hard to tell due to lack of focus in your last picture, but it doesn't look like a serial has been scrubbed from it's base. It could be an armorer's replacement magazine.
