Just a quick update, sadly the 1918 DWM I was eyeing at Checkpoint Charlies was gone by the time I rang this morning so I tried RGuns. I just placed an order for a WWI P08 and I'll let you all know what it looks like when it arrives. I hope they don't accidentally send me a WWII pistol (as I read happened to someone else here) as I am quite picky about getting a WWI era pistol since 'straight-up' WWII collecting doesn't interest me and I already have a Weimar era pistol.
