THe eagles you ask about are, I suspect, firing proof and final acceptance stamps. They look like an eagle with outstretched wings sitting atop a swastika in a circle. The E/63 stamps are process inspection stamps.
Because your frame is different from the receiver--the frame might be from a 41-42 dated luger and bakelite grips would be factory on many of those. bakelites on 39s are probably repair grips or postwar.
Reasons lugers are more expensive (and well worth it) than mauser rifles:
smaller, can store up to 12,000 in a one-bedroom apartment
attracts more babes
you don't put circle dents in your ceiling with a luger
