Hello Martin, and welcome to the forum.

It would be useful to see the right side of the receiver near the chamber (front) to see the proof and acceptance marks if they are present there.

The "8.82" is the measurement inside the barrel from land to land, and this is the caliber of your Luger (9mm Luger).

There should be a letter under the serial number 1229 in front of the frame above the trigger guard. This is a suffix letter and it is part of the Luger's serial number. I can't quite see it in your fourth picture because the flash has washed it white in the picture.

When you take more photographs of the Luger, go outdoors, photograph them without the flash/blitz and in shaded indirect light. Use the closeup setting (often a flower graphic) on your camera. Try and get sharp focus by using a tripod to hold the camera steady. Put the Luger on the table so it doesn't move.

Check this site for other references to the serial number, and for lists that keep information on known Lugers.
