Take a close look at the joint/slit on the underside of the handle.

One of the little details the faker used to sucker big money out of a reproduction Artillery loading tool.

It is likely the seller is unaware of the minute details concerning original loading tools and if a buyer is so unlucky to be in the same ignorant state..he will foolishly pay big bucks and be stuck with a reproduction.
