My 71/84 Mauser bayonet has a muzzle loop.

I don't have it here, but I think my Mauser 98/35 Brazilian has a muzzle loop on its bayonet, too, but this was an export model.

The standard German Army bayonets of WWI and WWII were of the "Neuer Art" type, without the loop.

Anyway, the bayonet in the photo is very long for a WWII type. Perhaps it is an Imperial holdover of some off standard type.
