Hi Rob, and welcome to the forum.
It's hard to judge much from your first photos. Try taking them again, and observe a couple of things;
- Don't use a flash. Take the pictures outdoors in the shade (indirect light)
- Get a tripod and use it to steady your camera. The self timer can be used to completely eliminate camera shake.
- Use the closeup setting on your camera for closeups. It has an icon that looks like a flower on most digital cameras.
Try and get closeups of the proof stamps on the front right of the receiver, all the markings on the barrel, the interior of the grip panels, and the front and rear of the metal grip on the frame. Take pictures of everything that shows a number. If you remove the grip panels, be extremely careful not to chip the left panel near the safety lever in the upper right.
There are instructions for carefully disassembling the luger and putting it back together again on this site. If you disassemble it, get pictures of the interior, the breech block/toggle train.
My first impression is that you are looking at an all matching 1937 Mauser luger in original finish. Can't tell for sure because of lack of focus and the lighting.
At what price range is this being offered to you?
Marc
