This survey was limited to the range 1v - 6001v because I thought that the range above 6001v is sufficiently researched before. One of the members of this forum drew my attention to the fact that Sam Costanzo offered no figures at all for the group 8100v - 8500v. Many collectors suppose that it had to be Police issued Lugers like most of the SN's around this range. If you happen to have a Luger with a SN in the 8100v - 8500v range, please drop me a short message too. It might be interesting to see if the 'Police' - theory is correct. Some lugers are not Police:
