I commented on the grips in another thread; if they are Melvin Tylers, they might say so on the inside...I haven't checked, but I'd bet there is a small collector's niche for his grips...The process of how/what they were made was supposed to be secret, but I can recall someone speculating that they were made from leftover Ivory sawdust/scraps/filings, perhaps from high-end piano keys, and mixed with epoxy to make 'faux' Ivory grips...

And if you were to place a price on this Luger, even as a 'shooter', I'd say an Erfurt should go on the high end of the scale...
