Kyrie is 100% right on in the first statement about standard ammo (non +p) If your weapon doesnt function with that there is a problem with it mechanically. I think the influx of lots of mismatched part Lugers and Lugers that have had an improper barrel change (torquing the reciever forks out of alignment with the frame and twisting the breech track into a slight spiral have started this myth about hot ammo being the way to go.
