What kind of luger?
It is just a shooter, as the finish is pretty well shot, and I think it is assembled with parts from other guns. I got it a bunch of years ago, from a fellow who is a Luger Guru, and he sold it to me as a shooter, not a collector. He was very honest and up front about that. I don't want to have it re-blued or anything as it looks pretty cool as is. Also, since it ain't broke, there is no sense in fixing it.
Year stamped? Serial number with suffix?
There is no year stamp as I can see, but there are a few stamps here and there that I can't really make out. Some of the parts have 2 digit numbers. There is a 4 digit serial number without any letters.
Is the marking like this?
Yes, except for the # being 104 instead of 130, that is the exact stamp.
The gun looks like the Luger in the picture, but I really don't have the fine eye to distinguish the difference in the various types.
It makes a great CCW, as it is absolutely reliable and tucks in the waistband nicely. It has never jammed or failed to fire, no matter what I feed it, FMJ, HP, SWC, etc. I put at least 2 boxes a year through it, as there are always people around that want to shoot it. It has also put down a few deer and hogs, as we get a lot of road kill around here that needs finishing off.
Tnx big time for the responses. P.M. responded to. I appreciate ya'll taking the time and trouble to enlighten me.
