Norm, Yes! Exactly! Now I have one other question..is the strap on the inside of the holster overyly long? I have worked on a Navy holster recently where it was pointed as yours is and there was no knot. The strap hung out of the holster for 4-5 inches. Actually tucked into the closure tab of the closure strap. It was also a type 2 holster as I remember.
