Thanks for the comments, Gents. I found that 3/4" Latigo strap material seems to work the best. I haven'got the long piece for the 'off the shoulder' strap. Nor, as yet have I made the "staple" bolts for the stock and frame....don't know what else to call them? The way the gun actually is strapped in, sure seems it would have been an unwieldy rig to use......certainly no 'fast draw'. I guess one would more likely wear the holster only on a belt, maybe carrying the rest along for storing. The stock I made from walnut, the holster is 9/10 oz. vegetable tanned hide with 'eco friendly' black dye
