Has anyone even noticed (except maybe Conny, (sorry Conny, too much reflection on your photo...) that the tail on this stamping comes from the middle of the back on this pony instead of behind him...
The toggle link appears to have been sanded down, and the original maker's mark (probably DWM) has been removed so that the stamper could put this mark on it. If you look at the auction, there is also a fake colt marking on the barrel.
FAKE... is the key word.
