Nice holster Bill. When the French occupation forces withdrew from parts of Hessen in 1930, the Hessische Polizei in those areas were issued DWM P08s from the upper u- and lower v-blocks along with commercial Akah holsters. These were converted to the police-style studded closure either just before issue or some time later. All of the holsters I have seen from this issue are property marked H.P.xx. on the front under the cover but that doesn't mean some were not marked or that some were acquired after property marking was terminated in 1937. Of course, this may not be a H.P. holster but I think there is a good chance it is.
