We all have scenes that seem to come from the "Rocky Horror Picture Show." I was at a tourist spot in the midwest one time that featured a "gunsmith." He converted Itallian import muzzleloaders into "custom guns." In reply to the question from a tourist "are they safe??" he said, "Sure. We once filled the barrel of one of these these all the way to the end with black powder, pushed in lead ball, and set 'er off. Didn't hurt her a bit." I referred it to mgt. there.
