I was thinking about it after reading alot on here about holsters and online and such. And how it adds value but to me I'll never sell it, pass it on one day that I'll do. I've got nambus and FN's and other pistols and the only thing with closure straps I've encountered is that once I have had them fixed it always takes away from the original value. Even though they are damaged, missing a bit of the end and such, once it's taken off that original piece of the holster is gone. My uncle was in WWII and had liberated an FN1922 Waffen marked and matched mag from a Soldier and the closure strap was missing when he took it of the soldiers body. To have it replaced would take away from it's hisotry already having been gone when he got it. So I try and stay away from taking off an original part and replacing it. Just in case that piece was lost due to battle or use by the soldier carrying it. Guess it's a 50/50 decision kind of like reblueing a firearm. The war and sacrafice of so many people that these firearms were used in and the stories of each individual that gave his all will always be to me the true value behind these relics of a time past and no money value could ever outweigh that. Maybe I'm wrong but just my opinion.
