Bill,
That is beautiful. We have a very, very small part of that here at gopher gulch maine. Deer(whitetail), Turkeys, tiny wolves(coyotes), beaver, muskrat. The moose are here and a neighbor kicked up a black bear this past summer. Fisher, Bobcats and lynx are amoung us. For over 50 years many, many unverifed reports of Mountain lions. Any large birds worth its feathers have gone to your country. Our ravens, crows and various hawks stay all year.

The only buffalo we have is "brunehilde", the farm wife next farm over. We do have an over population of yuppies in our small town. Also a to large population of wrinkle neck rednecks. One has to remember that Maine is at the eastern end of appalachia. So far they are still protected by Fish and Game wardens. Before I go I would love to see your great state. Thanks for sharing and a very happy New Year to you.
