Yes, the finish on the frame is some kind of spray on stuff I got from Brownells, did this a long time ago. The gun was one of the MANY post war surplus P1s. I had also invisioned doing one like this with the standard grooved black WWII grips and doing the slide in a darker gray to mimic a DUAL TONE like this original one I used to own. As you can see, there are three distinct colors on this original. I would probably salt blue the barrel and do the slide and frame in two different gray colors.
